Donald Trump loses it, calls for “revolution”

7:28 pm - 11/08/2012
“We should have a revolution in this country.” That was the opinion of Donald Trump after President Obama won re-election last night. But Trump doesn’t want you to know that. The Donald, for once, possibly realized he’d gone too far and tried to pretend he didn’t say that — or call for “revolution” in a second tweet as well.

But he can’t run from these screen grabs.

Like I said in the other post about Karl Rove... it was funny at first to see him so flabbergasted about losing but this is just making me angry. YOU FUCKING LOST GET THE FUCK OVER IT.
schexyschteve 9th-Nov-2012 03:42 am (UTC)
Except Obama totally won the popular vote too, but whatever helps you sleep at night, dude
atheistkathleen 9th-Nov-2012 03:44 am (UTC)
and the rest of the world actually wanted obama to win lol
schexyschteve 9th-Nov-2012 03:46 am (UTC)
Yeah, his "the world is laughing at us" tweet is even more hilarious because of that. Laughing at YOU, maybe. Laughing at America as a whole? Nah.
homasse 9th-Nov-2012 07:48 am (UTC)
As an expat, I was cackling at that one of his.

They are actually laughing at that really bad toupee. You'd think a guy as rich as he is could afford something realistic looking. Why does he continue to plop a dead raccoon on his head?!?
paulnolan 9th-Nov-2012 05:35 pm (UTC)
Because if his hair suddenly changed EVERYONE WOULD KNOW! D:
alicephilippa 9th-Nov-2012 11:15 am (UTC)
Too damn right.

It would have been a disaster on an international scale if mittens had won.

Could Trump based on his tweets be charged with, and found guilty of, sedition?
paksenarrion2 10th-Nov-2012 02:11 am (UTC)
I spent the better part of two days updating him on the ongoing vote totals.

I also keep randomly responding to some of his more current outrageous tweets with actual facts.

I've tweeted quite a bit at Karl Rove as well. It's my mission in life to make both of those asshats miserable.

schexyschteve 9th-Nov-2012 03:45 am (UTC)
Also, you know when we should've had a revolution in this country? When Gore lost the 2000 election. But if you dared to say anything that could be taken as criticizing the president, you got told you weren't American and you were unpatriotic. Did we collectively forget that? Now Republicans are calling for secession and revolution and all kinds of other gross things, and that's okay to say.
natyanayaki 9th-Nov-2012 04:15 am (UTC)
This isn't against your post OP, please don't take it personally, it's about the media. I wish the media would treat him as he deserves, a joke who should be paid ZERO attention.
ragnor144 9th-Nov-2012 05:41 am (UTC)
This was too funny in my mind not to submit, but I agree that they world would be a better place if everyone would just ignore Trump. I was hoping that he would just literally explode in impotent rage and save us the hassle of actively ignoring him.
natyanayaki 9th-Nov-2012 05:58 am (UTC)
Oh, I totally understand! :-)

Um - I have not met a single person here in Australia (and I speak with a lot of people in my job) who wasn't heartily, gloriously, deliriously happy with the election result. The Demon Mormon of Cheat Street didn't get in. We're very, very happy our major ally isn't led by a moronic,narrow-minded religious nutter.

Trump? A sad little man with a sad little toupee. Go away quickly.
surreal_angela 9th-Nov-2012 06:50 am (UTC)
Lolling forever at "Demon Mormon of Cheat Street". Classic.
kitchen_poet 9th-Nov-2012 07:01 am (UTC)
This comment makes me happy! I did read that poll that the majority of other countries supported Obama. The Demon Mormon of Cheat Street is a fantastic nickname!

Although, as a recent transplant to Utah, I will never ever repeat it because the LDS population here have absolutely lost their minds, and are screaming that Romney ONLY lost because Americans are a bunch of bigots who hate Mormons and think he is a secret polygamous. Any news blip on Romney's religion brings hand-wringing and freak outs. I've actually heard the phrase "second holocaust" being thrown around in Salt Lake. :(
brbsb 9th-Nov-2012 04:29 pm (UTC)
I'm also a recent Utah transplant and you're making me VERY happy I live in Park City. Everyone up here is pretty happy with the result (aside from my Mormon roommates, of course).

What is this shit about the popular vote that comes from the right wing people all the time. Obama frickin won the popular vote. If FOX trying to create its own reality again?
hikerpoet 9th-Nov-2012 12:35 pm (UTC)
Romney was still ahead in the popular votes when they called the election, although Obama did eventually caught up. To be fair to them (even though they haven't always given us the same benefit of the doubt) some of these clips might be from them, although it is still worded misleadingly (should be "is winning" not "won").

I love how this tweet also encourages congressional gridlock, even though they deny that is what they are doing all the time.

Another hilarious freak-out:

Freepers Freak Out Over Obama Win, Pen Letter Asking the Queen of England to ‘Take Us Back’

The letter, in all it's glory:

Your Majesty,

We, the people of the former American colonies, would like to offer our most sincere apology over that little misunderstanding we had 236 years ago. Had we known that we were going to be subjects anyway, we could have saved a lot of trouble and hard feelings.

We were under the mistaken belief that we would be free, sovereign citizens; we believed that our hard work would yield its own rewards without someone coming along and taking what we built in the name of "Fairness". We thought our laws and Constitution would protect us from a foreign born dictator, and our freedom to worship would prevent us from becoming a corrupt, morally bankrupt society (silly us).

Little did we know that our own free press would intentionally sabotage, deceive and withhold the truth from us in order to reelect a Socialist that still holds distain for our nation and contempt for its founding principles. Nor did we believe that there would be so many citizens dependent on government handouts that they would blindly elect an unqualified charlatan, let alone reelect him.

Anyway, Your Grace, we are truly sorry and humbly sincerely beg your forgiveness. If you can find it in your heart to forgive us and take us back, we promise never to trade British oppression for Socialist tyranny again.

Your most humble servants,

The American People

lulz, someone needs to tell them about the NHS, the dole, all the CCTV, and the anti-hate speech laws they have over in England. >XD

tigerdreams 9th-Nov-2012 08:46 am (UTC)
Know how I can tell it's real? The misspelling of "disdain."
mephisto5 9th-Nov-2012 08:35 am (UTC)
Also how owning a gun here is a privilage, not a right, and one for which you need to have (two? I think) sponsors and yearly inspections by the police to maintain.

On a shallow note: no one wants you back, USA- you'd end up with MPs in our Parliament and they'd be a) intolerably right wing, b) probably not up to the more robust style of debate in the HoC.
hinoema 9th-Nov-2012 01:23 pm (UTC)
They do realize that these 'Puritan pilgrims' they make so much of were religious nuts whom the Old Country essentially ran out on a rail? (Well, a boat, but w/e.) It was essentially a royal command to 'Get Thee to the New World or Else'. They certainly don't want their modern day equivalents floating back.
liliaeth 9th-Nov-2012 01:29 pm (UTC)
weren't those the guys who banned Christmas and pretty much any version of 'fun' imaginable? Or am I mixing up my religious fanatics.
hinoema 9th-Nov-2012 02:55 pm (UTC)
Cromwell was a Puritan, so yeah, same bunch.
blondebeaker 9th-Nov-2012 03:33 pm (UTC)
Yup. They were the spoilsports of the Old World back in the day.

Oh, and that while the UK is not part of the Eurozone, it IS a member of the European Union. And it is closer to France than Washington DC is to Baltimore. And about the Value Added Tax. And that the Muslim segment of the population is 7 times larger in the UK than in the US.
moonbladem 9th-Nov-2012 03:55 pm (UTC)
Funny he should call for a revolution because he thought Romney had won the popular vote but lost the Electoral College. I seem to remember the same thing happening to Al Gore in 2000.

In fact, the conservatives started bitching about how the election system was broken when they thought that's what happened to Romney, and how they should do something about it. Weird how they hate it when it happens to them, but said nothing when Bush was basically handed the presidency, huh?
crossfire 9th-Nov-2012 05:17 pm (UTC)
Today I wore this shirt especially for Mr. Trump.
