Exactly! There's no need to append "straight" onto it and frankly, there really shouldn't be this idea that people supporting LGBT rights deserve praise for what they do. Appreciation? Sure! I love people who stand up for things like marriage equality regardless of their own orientation, but like you said, it's a human rights issue first and foremost. It shouldn't be treated like some wonderful demonstration of compassion when it should just be common goddamn sense.
