Limbaugh mocks kids at Obama gun safety event, calls them ‘human shields’
Rush Limbaugh may have stooped to a new low.
On his radio show yesterday, Limbaugh mocked the children appearing alongside President Obama at Wednesday’s announcement of gun safety measures, calling them “human shields.”
“Obama uses kids as human shields, ” Limbaugh told his listeners. “He brings these kids who supposedly wrote letters to the White House after Newtown, bring them up there to present a picture of support among the children for the president to do something about guns. It’s gonna be very difficult, very difficult to oppose it.”
Then, adopting a mocking tone of voice, he continued, “You got these little kids there. ‘They don’t want to die.’ ‘How can you not listen to them? We’ve gotta do something.’ That’s the picture.”
After hearing the clip, Mother Jones‘ David Corn responded on NOW w/ Alex Wagner Wednesday.
“You know, you couldn’t make that up,” he said. “If you tried to come up with the most despicable thing Rush Limbaugh could do, you couldn’t top that.”

OP: There's a longish video on the site that wouldn't embed (about nine minutes.) It's really ... disgusting. It makes me sick.

Rachel Maddow on trolls aka the GOP
I've got at least a couple of family members like this, and there's such an utter condescending feel to whenever they stir shit up, and then stand back with smirks on their faces. They practically feed off of pissing people off.
Personally, to me it's less an issue of that inherit propaganda than it is for the upset caused by it. I mean, Dubya had kids with him while he signed "No Child Left Behind".
I dunno. Every time I think I won't be (at least a little) surprised at what these pundits say, I'll stumble across a new quote from one of them. It was probably the comments about killing the children.
Wait, you mean it's NOT difficult to oppose it even without the kids involved?!! It should be EASY to oppose it if it means more lives are saved in the long run, be they kids or adults. I just can't with these people.

I can't even...
No. I'm done. Anything I want say at this point is untoward.
So, I will say this. I pray for him.
"Grey-eyed Athena, Lady of wisdom, be generous to this man. Grant him wisdom, discernment and a calm heart, soft as the twilight shadows of your olive groves, that he may grow and become a better person."
Why did they stop?
