Black History Month with radiovolume, Day Six

12:40 pm - 02/06/2013
I found this via Tumblr - wasn't planning on anything like this, but it was too interesting to pass up and I know virtually nothing about this topic. Please note: I have not watched the entire thing yet.

White Wash

White Wash, the documentary, is a film exploring the complexity of race in America through the eyes of the ocean. White Wash examines the history of "black consciousness" as it triumphs and evolves into the minds of black surfers.

Hulu has the full movie but won't embed. Anyone know how to get it to embed? :(.

Previously this month: Day One, Day Two, Day Three, Day Four, Day Five.

This is a good documentary. I watched it on Netflix awhile back.

Cool, I'll look for it. Quite a few of the surfers I've seen recently have been First Nations (and one guy from Figi) but I realize that setting plays into it. I didn't have expectations for BC but I def did for So Cal.

Thanks!
