TIME FOR OUR DAILY DOSE OF CRAZY, Y'ALL.
The Colorado Independent’s Ernest Luning passes along this rather remarkable quote from Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), speaking earlier today at an event in Colorado.
“This cannot pass. What we have to do today is make a covenant, to slit our wrists, be blood brothers on this thing. This will not pass. We will do whatever it takes to make sure this doesn’t pass.”
She’s talking about health care reform.
Update: Luning passes on some more background.
Bachmann was speaking at a fundraiser, described as a “personal legislative briefing,” for the Colorado-based Independence Institute, which describes itself as a “free-market think tank.” In a fiery speech that had the audience cheering, Bachmann railed against the dangers of health care reform and other Democratic initiatives, saying the proposals “have the strength to destroy this country forever.”

Fuck you, you pathetic extremist piece of shit.
Where's a gif of Ianto's stun-gun to the face when you need it?
It's an easy mistake. Republicans seem to make it a lot, it seems.
I really shouldn't be taking this seriously though.
Step One: win control of the White House and Congress
Step Two: pass the legislation YOU want
Until then, you're shit out of luck. Sorry.
(But seriously, what an...'interesting' phrase to use...)
