Then the libertarians stormed the police station, and stayed there until everyone was let out.

added a link to the article. You can read the newspaper shifting the focus and making a fuss about one guy open carrying at the time.

Due to the theory behind mob mentality, guns should not be present (or open-carried, specifically) during protests - there's no use for them during peaceful protest. However, if others had open-carried their weapons, they also deserved to be arrested if this one young man was.

Storming the police station should never be acceptable, and it will only hurt their cause.

"Storming" a police station in a peaceful manner in the face of injustice is a valid tactic of protest. Civil rights activists did the same thing, after all.

Watch the videos. The other 2 people arrested were arrested for 'getting in the way' of the cops arresting the black guy. (One guy was standing in the way of the cruiser, the lady was filming the cops, asking if they would do it to their own kids)

Even though dozens of people were toking up.

The guy got arrested. Okay. You don't think it's fair. That's fine. But don't hinder an investigation and then bitch about it when they arrest your ass too.

Pretty sure every single person just shut up when they were arrested. Getting arrested in support of a cause in an american tradition that these people were practicing.

Bitch as in flailing around and practically resisting arrest, not just verbal outcry. And, yeah, it's usually best to shut up, because they can use what you say and do against you if it goes to court.

I know. But these just aren't my types of protesters. I usually like the loud, outspoken ones a lot...just not this crowd.

No real options for now :( Just gotta do without for at least the next 10 hours. We only have 2 internet providers in our city and they're both shit. And of course, they remain shitty monopolies because there arent any competitors. Assholes.

I hate to say it, but the first thing I thought was "poor guy/girl probably stuck out like a sore thumb in NH."

I went from working at a Head Start here in VA, where I was like one of a handful of white folks working there, to New Hampshire. The lack of diversity freaked me out sooooo bad. =X
