SUDDENLY FREED OF THE PATRIOT BRAINSLUGS, INDEPENDENT FLORIDIAN CUT-N-RUN CONSIDERS BEING PRO-CHOICE

Gov. Charlie Crist (I-FL), who left the Republican Party last week to run for Senate as an independent, faces a new test of his status as a candidate of the middle: Whether to veto a bill championed by anti-abortion Republicans in the state legislature. And for now, at least, signs are pointing toward a veto.
The legislation would require a woman seeking an abortion to view an ultrasound of the fetus, and listen to the doctor describe the fetus. As the St. Petersburg Times reports, Crist is sounding a lot like he'll veto it. "I'm concerned about it," Crist said Wednesday. "Even though I'm pro-life I don't want to impose my will on others."
If Crist were to veto the bill, it would be his second high-profile veto of a GOP-backed bill in the last three weeks. In mid-April, Crist vetoed a high-profile education bill that would have eliminated tenure for new teachers and instituted strict guidelines for merit pay -- a move that apparently sealed the deal for his decision to leave the Republican Party and run as an independent.
I mean it in the sense that he changes his mind constantly. There's no consistency with him. He's changed his mind at least twice now on offshore drilling, he supports his (awful) health care set up but is against the federal plan, he supported the stimulus then claimed he didn't and now he admits he did, and on and on. Nothing surprises me about him anymore because he does what is politically expedient over and over.
So he's the Senator of Bray. Yes, it means he's unpredictable, but it might mean he gets some good stuff done. It certainly means he gives the electorate what they want.
I think he wants to be more progressive and up until nowish, he was using having Bill (F*cking) McCollum in his cabinet to point blame when he was forced to do "the Republican thing."
I just think (and maybe this is just me) it's hard to vote for someone who says one thing, then does another, than does what he said he was going to do in the first place. I would rather vote for someone whose positions are easily understood and who don't have such vast discrepancies (I know every politicians does it to some degree but Crist is too much for me)
Oh I agree, I hate the f*cking son of a bitch. But frankly I'll saw off my genitals with a rusty spoon before I let Rubio get anywhere within 900 miles of representing me in Washington. If I don't think Kendrick can do it, then Crist will have to do.
