Hamas prevents humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza

The bulk of the humanitarian aid from the Turkish flotilla that has been confiscated by Israel has been released and is awaiting delivery to Gaza, however Hamas prevents the goods from being delivered according to Der Spiegel.


"The aid shipment that the Palestinian activists' flotilla was hoping to bring to Gaza before they were halted by Israeli commandos is now awaiting delivery. But Hamas will only let the badly needed goods into the territory under certain conditions. "


When and if Hamas eventually lets the goods in, it is unlikely that they will reach these in need. Most probably that the aid will be distributed among Hamas supporters.

I've found that it's a lot harder to find people who support Israel blindly than finding people who support the Palestinians blindly.

As an Israeli, I have yet to meet one. {Well, there were those few Egyptians -- but they were rather bizarre.}

There's a few knocking around this community - chances are you'll run into them eventually. Biggest ones are probably gruimed and mayush17.

Can't say I've seen any blind support of Palestine here, much as you seem to like implying otherwise.

Who are both Israeli. I don't know mayush17, but from my above discussions with gruimed, he's not a die-hard, follow-Israel-blindly sort of guy. Like I said earlier, this community is apparently not doing so well at reading and understanding frustrated Israelis' rhetoric, and this level of frustration is definitely not blind support. I suspect that mayush17 is rather similar, but again, I don't know her.

There's non-Israeli ones too (e.g. merig00 - they just sprung to mind as the most vocal ones over this last week.

I just went back to read merig00's comments -- nope, no blind support there. S/He expresses clear dislike of the settlements.

There's a hell of a lot to go through (this week's been pretty hectic here) - don't have any threads on hand.

If you go through here and check the posts with shedloads of comments you should find plenty though.

Okay, I saw enough {and I definitely did not want to see a dead body, so thank you for that}. Still not a blind supporter of Israel.

You assume to much and you know too little. You have absolutely no idea what I want, but you assume that I want something that goes along with your views. The same is correct about pretty much every event I read your opinion on - you form your opinion without bothering to actually understand what and why happened there.
