High-Dynamic-Range Imaging | In image processing, computer graphics, and photography, high-dynamic-range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminance between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wide dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight. The two main sources of HDR imagery are computer renderings and merging of multiple photographs, the latter of which in turn are individually referred to as low dynamic range (LDR) or standard dynamic range (SDR) photographs.Samples of retina-gasmic HDR photos under the cut.

The images are very impressively detailed and vivid, but a lot of it still seems rather... fake-y. Sort of like the uncanny valley without people.
I will say that the depth of this one kinda blew me away, as well as the one of the garden with the red bridge.
2| The photo of the church is amazing. It's got that same vibe as actually standing in a beautiful, older building -- that same stillness.
CAN I JUST SAY
I AM FUCKING BAKED RIGHT NOW AND I CANNOT HANDLE THIS
I
CANNOT

Some of these pictures are pretty cool, actually. A few of them are really fake looking in a not fun way, but some of them make me pause and study a bit which for me, means they were good.
This pic makes me feel like I'm about to fall into the sky.
I suspect, however, that the main problem is that my photo selections werent as discriminate as they could have been. But for less-fakey-looking HDR, I recommend the links to photos not featured in the entry:
...I didnt post much stuff directly from these links because they were by and large copyright/royalty protected. The ones I posted were from non-commercial/Creative Commons collections.

a lot of these are pretty awesome
typically I don't like architecture/human-centric photos
so thanks for helping me surprise myself
My skills are...limited.
They are real life, only Photoshopped to death, in a way, haha.
And I don't care what anyone else says, I need to find some tutorials and put these in my
dailyweekly photo life stat.I LIKE THEM. I AM ALONE. :(
