UKIP's Dr Gasper: 'Koran is worse than Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf'; UKIP stand by her
3:05 pm - 05/04/2012
A candidate for UKIP has compared Islam’s holiest book to Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf, Political Scrapbook can reveal. Academic Julia Gasper — a former Westminster hopeful and current council candidate in Oxford – said the Koran was “fascist” and compared those who defend Islam to holocaust deniers.
In emails seen by Scrapbook, Gasper ranted:
“Why is it any more wrong to assert that the Koran is a fascist book than to assert that Mein Kampf is a fascist book? The Koran is a lot more explicit in advocating hate and murder than Mein Kampf is.”
Having dismissed comparisons between sections of the Koran and the Old Testament as “not valid”, Gasper responded to suggestions that her hateful bile was demonising Muslims:
“Words like “demonization” are just self-deception. They are being used to persuade you to keep your eyes shut. In fact, the apologists for Islam are really very similiar to Holocaust deniers.”
To compound matters, the rant comes to light as another UKIP candidate is suspended for expressing sympathies with Norwegian mass-murder Anders Breivik – and just days after Julia Gasper herself was slammed for saying gays should stop ‘complaining about persecution’ and start thanking straight people for giving birth to them.
Looks like they’ll be making that a double suspension then.

UKIP stand by candidate over 'Koran is worse than Mein Kampf' slur
UKIP party bosses are standing by their candidate Dr Julia Gasper after Scrapbook exposed her sick claims that the Islam’s holiest book is worse than Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf.
Despite claiming they do not support Gasper’s sick views, the party have refused to sack her, saying in a statement:
“UKIP does not share her view, nor do we support it. But we do support her right to hold those views.”
Complementing her Islamophobia with gay-hating, delusional Gasper has been telling anyone who will listen that she has received an implausible 200 death threats by email in the wake of an expose by Pink News. She claims she is under “police protection” — although Thames Valley Police have refused to confirm this.

Seemingly emboldened by her party’s absolutely unsupportive support for her hole-digging, Gasper carried on in the comments on Scrapbook’s post. Her tirade against “smears” included this brilliant gem:
“I have a D. Phil in literature from Oxford University … I know what I am talking about.”
This might seem counter-productive for a party with designs on the political mainstream — but remember this is party nutjob Roger Helmer defected to.
