lbr, it's more like weeks with all the stuff that goes down in the gamer/geek community.

I'm going to be playing two MMOs this year after giving them up for almost a year. as the release dates get closer I get more and more unsure about it.

I legit saw an argument on the official boards of one about how it would be immersion breaking and bad for male characters to have skimpy/revealing clothing options. they tried to make real life comparisons and pretty much all had to do with gay men in clubs. the homophobia, transphobia, and sexism were just dripping from every word.

I wanted to cry.

it's usually a personal rule of mine too and I am so sorry I broke that rule lol.

it was the only means for news until recently (the game has been in development for about 7 years) and now that there's a release date everything has just turned sour on there. I've had to put the rule back in place lol.

I dream of the day when it's safe to visit MMO forums. so maybe in like, 100 years.

That's my rule too. I've been a playing City of Heroes for 7 years and I've never been to the forums except to look at posts made by the devs. I just can't with the privilege and entitlement.
