Boehner: Obama's 'never even had a real job for God's sake'

4:44 am - 08/03/2012

House Speaker John Boehner went over the top today when he ripped into President Barack Obama during an interview with Fox News Radio.

When talking to Kilmeade & Friends about Obama's speech in Ohio yesterday, Boehner said this:

"Sometimes I have to catch my breath and slow down because the rhetoric in this campaign is just so over the top. And that's because the President's policies have failed. Listen - 93% of Americans believe they're a part of the middle class. That's why you hear the President talk about the middle class every day, because he's talking to 93% of the American people. But the President has never created a job. He's never even had a real job for God's sake. And I can tell you from my dealings with him, he has no idea how the real world, that we actually live in, works."

Boehner also said it's been "months" since he's last interacted with Obama in a meaningful way.

"Eleven months ago, Labor Day last year, the president decided to check out," Boehner said. "And he's been AWOL from the legislative process ever since."

He's never even had a real job for God's sake.

*raises hand up, waves* Oh! Oh! Oh! I know this one! Is being a president a job? ;O

And... let's step back, shall we? He's criticizing Obama for not having a (middle class) job. What are the odds that Romney would've even stepped in a lowly middle class business, much less work for one?

Are you kidding, Boehner? You really want to start this? We have a middle class president and we have his opponent born with a gold spoon in his mouth. It think this is a can of worms.

What's even sadder to me? Boehner grew up lower or middle class (one of twelve kids). How do you get from there to being what he is now? So depressing.

BOOTSTRAPS™!!!!11111

"Bootstraps" that cant be claimed/flaunted by biracial middle class kids of single-parent households, of course.

You know what's really funny? Boehner initially ran for Congress with the campaign of instituting term limits.

ahahahahahahaha

I can one up you on that! Paul Ryan's father died when he was a teen and he lived off public aid and death benefits. I think I remember from somewhere that he put all that money into the bank and actually got almost a free ride through college.

Now, how do you grow up and educate yourself out of the good of the people, and then want to destroy it?

I GOTS MINE BAHAHAHAHA
celtic_thistle 3rd-Aug-2012 04:39 pm (UTC)
Paul Ryan is one of the actual fucking worst.

self-loathing, tbh.
alryssa 3rd-Aug-2012 07:11 pm (UTC)
It started here, honestly.

ladypolitik 3rd-Aug-2012 12:13 pm (UTC)
Yeah that was my immediate thought....i.e., why Boehner would foolishly paint their principle candidate and several of their own into that awkward corner. Like, voluntarily.

You can almost hear Romney hush-whisper, "Y U DO DIS".

I have my doubts that Romney has enough sense to realize what Boehner's done here, what with his oh-so-tragic stories of how he had to struggle to get through college by selling off his stocks piecemeal. Goes to show he's like the common man, dontchaknow.

This.
celtic_thistle 3rd-Aug-2012 04:40 pm (UTC)
I find it hilarious that the Romneys think most people can totes relate~ to omg having to sell their stocks in order to get by. Girl PLEASE.
furrygreen 3rd-Aug-2012 08:27 pm (UTC)
IKR? Like, buying all that Ramen and stuff vs selling stocks? WORLDS apart!
nonnycat 4th-Aug-2012 06:07 am (UTC)
I... um... may have read that the first time as "selling off socks" and was very confused, because, um, well, yeah.... -_-
