This week I became a library page! Oh my gosh, working in youth services is hard on the knees. Pretty much every book I had to shelve today I had to kneel to do it.

Also I don't have any clothes so I stole my sister's Alloy and Delia's catalogs. I don't care that they're for teens and and lower-twentysomethings.

I loved being a page, omg. I feel like it's such a helpful and important job, even if you don't get paid that great (at least, I didn't, lol).

I would love to be able to have that job again. :D

I pretty much plan on keeping this job or at least staying at the library for as long as I can.

Yeah, I'm restricted to 19 hours per week so I don't receive benefits and I don't make enough to live on from that job alone. I have two jobs and feel kind of guilty for hogging all the jobs.

Yes, do stay! Libraries need help now more than ever, thanks to dumbass budget cuts and shit like that, so I think it's great that you're working there.

Awesome, congrats! I was a volunteer page at my library when I was in high school. I loved it! :D

Man, I wanted to be a library page too. And yeah, junior section clothes FTW.

TLDR tangent:
...OMFG I want to go back to my teens, and tell myself things like, "Dude. Dude. You're going to get male attention in just a few years. And some of the males in question will be HOT. Don't get hung up on it now. Focus on school. And you'll get opportunities to take all sorts of electives in college, and as summer courses at the community college, no need to take it specifically at high school. Don't lose sight of academia. And don't settle for mediocrity. And don't get so caught up in drama. Drama is bad. Don't try to be something you're not. Be mellow. And being a teacher is a good job for you. Pick a subject to teach in, and double major in that and education."
