I just put down Silence by Michelle Sagara. I... urgh, wanted to like it, but she kept making the point of This Main Character Is This Thing That Is ~~~EVIL And ~~~MUST DIE... without really explaining why. She's... a necromancer... so... she MUST DIE. And that's really all we're given, halfway into the book. I have about a dozen other library books sitting waiting to be read, I haven't time for this shit. -_-
