Wisconsin Shooting: Several People Injured After Shots Fired At Sikh Temple

Several people have been shot after a gunman opened fire on the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, Patch reported.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning in Oak Creek.

According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, witnesses say that as many as 30 people may have been shot.

The AP confirms the incident.

Witnesses told WTMJ that the suspect oped fire inside the temple. Police have not released any information about the suspected shooter and no deaths or injuries have been confirmed by authorities.

According to Patch, police scanner reports indicated that the suspect may still be at large.

Sikhs aren't even Muslims OR Middle Easterners.

I know that isn't what you're saying, but the fact that apparently even CNN can't get their facts straight (a friend of mine was just raging on twitter that CNN was saying that "Sikhs aren't Muslim, they're Hindus") just shows what the real problem is: brown people are the enemy, non-Christians are the enemy, and they're not even worth distinguishing.

And then I went on CNN's website and people are already complaining about anti-Christian persecution.

and the unfortunate part is that we're not going to get any more clear about the difference between the different religions and groups are because schools are wiping out islamic studies departments and anything that even resembles any religion that isn't christianity. it's bullshit because we're never all going to get to a point where we all understand tolerate each others religion

The ironic part is when you consider the only reason we have the separation of church and state here in America is because fundy Christians were afraid the rest of the country wouldn't tolerate them. It was one of those "vote for me, get me elected, and I'll add that to the bill" things. If only they'd know...
