I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks these raids were planned to coordinate with the downtime.

I honestly thought I was just being paranoid.
The possibility of that being the case terrifies me.

you really aren't. I'm just king of glad at this point that twitter changed their downtime at such short notice. hopefully they didn't get too long to plan

*kind. gods. I need to cut down on the coffee.
ninevoltmoose 16th-Jun-2009 09:25 pm (UTC)
The question is, what will we do with the downtime?
lindra 16th-Jun-2009 09:26 pm (UTC)
At this point, DDOS attacks against government websites seem the best bet.

How long had twitter made available they'd be down now? Because the first reports of the raids moving being 9 minutes after twitter goes down is just too close for me to think otherwise.
lone_concertina 16th-Jun-2009 09:31 pm (UTC)
It's been available for a day or so, or however long it's been since they announced that the previous time they had scheduled (10:15 a.m. Tehran time) was changed.
hoozilla 16th-Jun-2009 09:35 pm (UTC)
Oh man, that's a really scary thought.
