Oh, Onion. You never fail to exceed expectations.

Before I saw that it was the Onion, I was like, but, but, I didn't even paint the nursery or name my daughter before I had her and I didn't get an abortion!! oh god!!

Clearly you should have been arrested.

Just out of curiousity how long after your child was born before she was named?

Her name is Satania Slut [mylastname] and I am going to do a Picasso-Pollock inspired mural in her room. x3 I'm so excited!

I would name the baby Wolfman DeAngelo and the room would be painted (and the paint would be purchased) while drunk, it's kinda like a surprise to yourself.

Yep. My ex-girlfriend had to get the initial counseling, a 24 or 48 hour waiting period, and had to come in for a second appointment to get an abortion, and this was when it was early enough that she simply got the shot in the butt. She offered to sign a waiver and get it done on the spot, but nope.

This is living in a pretty famously liberal Blue State. I can't imagine what some states make women put up with.

It's either laugh or cry. Thank you, Onion, for making me laugh instead.

I wish more pundits talked that fast.

The Onion is hilarious.

Kinda cool story, bro...

But I literally just had a dream where I had gotten pregnant and then needed an abortion...I'm still face-palming over all the dream people that tried to prevent the abortion from happening...It was a horrible dream and horrible real life situation as I don't have any desire to give birth to child any time soon and, hopefully, ever.

I'm ashamed it took me about half into the video to realize it was a parody.
LOL

Is it just me or are you worried that the Right might actually take cues from this?

As for the baby naming meme.

My fathers' family name has history. His grand-father was a solider in the Civil War and from Tennessee, so I don't know if it was Union or Confederate, but in a battle his life was saved by a freed slave. So he named my Grandfather after the man's name. At least, that is what I was told by my grandfather.

Mom wanted to name my brother Colt after the beer not the gun. Since her name is Sherry, dad's nickname was Bud and I was Pearlyn (another beer) until I was Brandelyn (Brandy + mom's middle) because daddy's family name (before the first e was dropped in the 1800's) was Weiser. I shit you not.

My brother's nickname as a kid, BJ, Bud Jr. aka Bud Lite. His Marine and highschool football buddies call him Bud Wiser.

It's a tradition now in how we are going to name our kids.

The only reason I'll have kids (at least in this point of view) is to keep my father's family name (his brother and that side of the rest of the family can go to HELL). And to pass on the legacy of the man who saved my great-grandfather's life.
