The first ever Big Help award was awarded to First Lady Michelle Obama at Nickelodeon's 23rd Annual Kids' Choice Awards. In a special honor, The First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama accepted the first-ever Nickelodeon Big Help Award for inspiring families to be healthy and active through her recently launched Let's Move! initiative.
The award recognizes those who seek to better the world, and whose significant impact on their community has inspired kids to do the same. In a taped acceptance, the First Lady acknowledged it was an honor to receive the award and she encouraged kids to be active and take control of their lives and health.
The Big Help Award signaled the launch of Nickelodeon's The Big Help "Millions on the Move" campaign (www.thebighelp.com), which aims to inspire a kid-led movement of positive change, focusing on four key issues that kids have identified as being important to them: the environment; education; health and wellness; and community service. As part of The Big Help, Nickelodeon will distribute $1 million in grants to fund The Big Help "Millions on the Move" projects in schools and communities across the country.

And FoxNews weighs in:
Summary: An apparently liberal conspiracy at Nickelodeon already happens to be indoctrinating its viewers with shows that teach children to be peacenik tree-hugging hippies, and this is why Kids' Choice Award gave the special "Big Help" award to Michelle Obama, and not to Laura Bush a decade ago -- when the Big Help award didnt exist.
Finally, on a related note, I regret to inform ontd_political that though Michelle and Barack were also nominated in the Cutest Couple category, they lost to the "Jacob and Bella" characters from Twilight.
But you can download Nickelodeon's Michelle and Barack fan kit, if you like, haha.
