Heritage of Pride - New York City

After seeing some of the most incredible photos for the last few days of Gay Pride events around the world, my contributions will seem wanting in quality and sheer beauty, but I would thought I'd post a few of them with the community. These are of the Heritage of Pride Parade in New York City, one of the longest parades in New York in terms of length of distance marched, and sheer time (I think it's from 12 noon until 5:30) and it grows every year! A million people line the parade route and it's one of the coolest things in this city (barring a New York Mets World Series win ;).

St. Patrick's is closed to the public, and protestors show the hate.
Meanwhile further down the road, other church groups (including clergy) hand out free water and cups to the marchers!!


White is always good after Memorial Day.
